Belinda Miller is the Treasurer for the South Dakota Association of Middle Level Educators.  She is currently in her fifth year as Vice Principal for George S. Mickelson Middle School in Brookings. 

 Belinda is a native of South Dakota.  She graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1985 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota—Morris.  She participated in collegiate basketball and track, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in 1989.  She taught Physical Science and coached volleyball and basketball for five years in Lennox, SD; was a science educational sales consultant for Wild Goose Science Company; and taught middle school science and K-8 physical education for four years at Sacred Heart School in Yankton, SD. During the 2001-2002 school year, Belinda was a full-time student at the University of South Dakota and a graduate assistant for the Educational Administration Department.  She completed an administrative internship with the Yankton Public Schools and graduated in August 2002 with her Masters of Arts in Education.  She is certified for K-12 Administration.   

Belinda and her family moved to Brookings from Viborg, SD.  Her husband, Bryan, owns Dakota Ace Hardware in Viborg.  Together they have two daughters, Kristen who is a freshman and Rachel is a 1st grader at Hillcrest Elementary school  In her free time she enjoys reading, running, camping and boating with friends and family in the summer.
