Becky has been teaching for 21 years at Brandon Valley in the 6^th grade. She started teaching in the elementary setting – teaching all English and spelling to the 6^th graders and one class of reading. Becky then moved to the middle school setting and taught all social studies and one class of reading to the 6^th graders. She is currently teaching five classes of reading and two classes of spelling to the 6^th graders. Becky graduated from Sioux Falls College in 1986 with a BS in elementary education. Next she graduated in 2005 from Southwest State University of Minnesota, Marshall, MN with a MS in educational leadership. She is currently pursuing a second masters and Reading Specialist degree from the University of Sioux Falls. Becky is a member of the International Reading Association. Becky and her husband Brian have two grown children, Jessica (wife of Ryan Hunsaid) and Matt, and recently became the proud grandma to a beautiful baby girl, Addison, . Her interests include running, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Becky was the 2006 SDAMLE middle level educator of the year.
